Maria Namuyomba, daughter of legendary musician Moses Matovu, has shared an emotional tribute following the death of her father, revealing the dream she had hoped to achieve with him by her side.

Namuyomba said one of her biggest wishes was for her father to live long enough to see her graduate as a doctor. However, Matovu died while she was still in her fourth year at university.

“My biggest wish was for my dad to see me become a doctor. Unfortunately, he has passed away while I am in my fourth year at university,” she said.

The loss has left Namuyomba deeply heartbroken as she comes to terms with the fact that her father will not be there to witness the completion of her medical studies.

She also expressed regret that she was not present during his final moments, saying she wished she could have been there to save him.

“I wish I had been there to save him,” Namuyomba said, reflecting on the painful circumstances surrounding her father’s death.
