NRM MPs to Discuss Electoral Roadmap Ahead of 2025/26 General Elections

Lira, Uganda : The Government Chief Whip, Mr. Hamson Denis Obua, has summoned members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Caucus for a pivotal meeting to deliberate on the ruling party’s electoral roadmap for the upcoming 2025/26 general elections.
According to a letter issued by Mr. Obua, the 9th meeting of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus for the 4th session of the 11th Parliament is scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Conference Hall at the Office of the President.
The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on the NRM party roadmap, other party activities, and strategies for wealth creation mobilization. These topics are expected to set the tone for the party’s preparations ahead of the elections.
While previous caucus meetings chaired by President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe mandated attendees to undergo COVID-19 testing, it remains uncertain whether similar health protocols will be enforced for Friday’s meeting.
This gathering comes at a critical juncture as the NRM seeks to solidify its plans and strategies for the general elections, which are less than two years away. The meeting is anticipated to address key challenges and opportunities for the party as it gears up for the electoral process.
