Hundreds  benefit  Free Health care services from Victoria school of Nursing and Midwifery in Kole

Lira, Uganda : Hundreds of people have received healthcare services from the recent health camp organized in Alito subcounty, Kole District, by Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery in collaboration with Merry Joy Nursery and Primary School.

At 8:00 AM, the area was full with women and youth facing various health issues. During the event, Dr. Isaac Orec, the director of Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery, mentioned that this initiative is part of their community outreach efforts. He highlighted that his team, along with their partner facility, Good Care Medical Centre, is dedicated to improving healthcare services.

Dr. Orec explained that their mission as a medical school is to enhance healthcare access, and they were actively testing patients and providing treatments, including referrals when necessary. The team also worked with Village Health Teams (VHTs) to engage the local community.

Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery stands out as a prominent medical institution in Northern Uganda, making a significant impact on the community and addressing the shortage of medical professionals. 

Situated in the center of Lira City, the school also offers scholarships to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Additionally, Robert Ojok, the director of Merry Joy Nursery and Primary School, expressed his gratitude to Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery for their commitment to improving health services in the area. He encouraged parents to take advantage of the educational opportunities at the school for their children aspiring to enter the medical field.

Honorable Tom Olet, the chairman of LC3 in Alito sub-county, also thanked the administrators of Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery for organizing the medical camp in their community.

Victoria school of nursing and Midwifery, Lira has now produced and inspired many young people to fullfill their dreams of becoming medical professionals in Uganda.
