Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology, Lira Opens Admission For Fresh UACE Leavers In Engineering Courses And Agriculture

Lira, Uganda: As the Ministry of Education and Sports releases the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Exams 2024 results, Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology, Lira—a leading private academic institution in Northern Uganda—has announced new study opportunities for successful candidates to pursue diploma courses in various fields.

For over a decade, Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology, Lira, has been at the forefront of promoting quality education in the region. The institution has not only trained many students but has also inspired countless youths who had lost hope in education, helping them achieve their academic dreams.

Located in Amuca, West Division, Lira City, the institution stands out among other learning centers for offering accessible, affordable, and quality education to the community. With the release of the UACE results, the institution is poised to enroll over 500 students in national diploma programs, with a strong emphasis on science-related courses.

During a media briefing, the principal of the school, Mr. Tom Okao, outlined the enrollment process.

Available Courses for National Diplomas:

National Diploma in Civil Engineering

National Diploma in Fashion and Design

National Diploma in Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering

National Diploma in Electrical Engineering

National Diploma in Agriculture and Animal Production

Entry Requirements for Engineering Students with UACE Certificate 

Candidates must have completed UACE with at least two principal passes in relevant subjects. These subjects should generally include mathematics, physics, chemistry, or other technical/vocational courses, as they form the core of engineering disciplines.

Mr. Okao also noted that, in addition to welcoming diploma students, there are limited vacancies for UCE graduates and students with Uganda Polytechnic Certificates. These students can enroll in various national certificate programs, such as:

National Certificate in Fashion and Design

National Certificate in Agriculture and Animal Production

National Certificate in Building Construction, among others.

National Certificate in Business Administration 

Beyond formal education, Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology, Lira, is also equipping students with vocational skills through the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT). This skilling program, which runs for six months, aims to empower students with practical knowledge to earn a living.
