By June 2027, The Museveni Dynasty Will Be Gone; Former Fearless Presidential Candidate Kabuleta Predicts

Former presidential candidate and National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED) leader Joseph Kabuleta has predicted that President Yoweri Museveni’s political dynasty could come to an end, claiming that major funerals will begin in January 2027. Kabuleta says he has revised his earlier prediction, which placed the anticipated political turning point in June 2027.

Speaking on his *Morning After* podcast, Kabuleta said he now expected significant deaths to begin earlier than he had initially anticipated. “I said that by June 2027, the Museveni dynasty will be gone but now I wish to revise a bit,” he said, before warning that major funerals would begin in January.

Kabuleta told his audience that the deaths he predicted would continue once they started. However, he did not identify the people he was referring to, explain what he meant by major funerals or provide evidence to support his forecast. He also did not clearly explain how the predicted deaths would lead to the end of Museveni’s political establishment.

The opposition figure described the anticipated developments as good news, linking his interpretation to his Christian beliefs and biblical teachings about the deaths of the wicked and the prosperity of the righteous. He argued that, from his understanding of scripture, not every death would necessarily be received as bad news by those who believe in the Bible.

Kabuleta repeated that January 2027 would mark the beginning of the events he was predicting, saying he was bringing forward the timeline he had previously announced. He urged his listeners to watch the coming months, suggesting that the transition from 2026 into 2027 would bring developments he believes could change Uganda.

His remarks come amid continued debate about Uganda’s political future and the question of succession after Museveni, who first took power in 1986. Museveni’s long stay in office has made the future of his administration a recurring subject of national political discussion, particularly among opposition figures who criticise the concentration of political power.

Museveni’s son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces, has also featured prominently in discussions about succession. His public profile has fuelled debate over whether another member of the president’s family could eventually lead the country, with critics describing such a possibility as dynastic politics. Kabuleta has repeatedly challenged the ruling establishment and made predictions about its future.

Despite his confidence, Kabuleta offered no evidence to substantiate his revised timeline or explain what prompted the change from June to January. His prediction remains an unverified claim, and he has not specified who he believes will die or demonstrated how the anticipated funerals would affect the government. His latest remarks have nevertheless drawn attention because of the dramatic nature of the forecast and the political questions surrounding Museveni’s future.
