By Jimmy Olot Lira, Uganda — In a groundbreaking move to expand access to higher education, Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology (FIMAT) has officially announced the launch of a  Bursary Scheme for its January 2026 intake.

The new initiative seeks to eliminate financial barriers for ambitious students across Uganda, particularly those passionate about pursuing careers in management, technology, and technical fields. The bursary will cover  tuition and other academic expenses, ensuring that qualified students can study without worrying about financial constraints.

Empowering the Next Generation

Addressing the media in Kampala, Mr. Tom Okao, Director of Fountainhead Institute, emphasized that the bursary program is part of the institution’s broader mission to promote education, innovation, and entrepreneurship among Uganda’s youth.

“At Fountainhead, we believe education is the key to transforming lives. Through these bursaries, we aim to give more young people the opportunity to pursue quality education and unlock their full potential. Our goal is to train job creators, not just job seekers,” said Mr. Okao.

He further urged Ugandans to seize this opportunity to upgrade their academic qualifications and gain practical skills relevant to today’s competitive job market.

Scholarship Details

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must possess a UCE or UACE certificate (or equivalent qualification).

Must demonstrate strong academic performance and a commitment to community development.

Coverage:

Full tuition fees and academic-related expenses.
