BREAKING; Akalo Light Technical Institute Offers Life-Changing Opportunities for Students In The North

As Uganda commits to the Skilling Uganda program under the leadership of His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni, Akalo Light Technical Institute is proud to offer transformative educational opportunities to students from underprivileged families. The initiation aims to empower youth through accessible technical education, fostering economic growth and community development.

Speaking exclusively to this publication, Mr. Awira Ezekel, CEO of Akalo Light Technical Institute, emphasized that the development is part of a broader effort to promote technical skills in Northern Uganda. "Our goal is to bridge the skills gap in the region and provide opportunities for young people to gain practical, market-relevant skills," he said. 

Mr. Ezekel highlighted that the institute offers a range of programs, including National Certificate courses, Junior programs, and DIT Notably, students will pay only 150,000 Ugandan Shillings per term, with no additional requirements, making quality education affordable and accessible.

Northern Uganda has long suffered from the effects of the LRA insurgency, which disrupted education and economic activities. In response, Akalo Light Technical Institute is implementing a full bursary scheme to support students from vulnerable backgrounds, ensuring that lack of funds does not hinder access to education.
