Kampala, Uganda: As Uganda prepares to celebrate President Museveni's recent reelection victory, Shara Awor Angweri has emphasized that no single individual or group should claim sole responsibility for Museveni’s success in the Lango region. She stated that the overwhelming support for the President was driven by the people's love, trust, and confidence in his leadership.

According to Awor, a supporter of the NRM Presidential candidate, Museveni’s impressive manifesto and wealth creation agenda played a significant role in garnering votes from the people of Lango. She highlighted that the development projects, such as the construction of the Akiibua-Lira-Apac road, have greatly contributed to the region’s unwavering support for the President.

Awor cautioned some leaders who have been claiming credit for Museveni’s victory, urging them to refrain from taking undue credit. She emphasized that the people’s support was genuine and rooted in the tangible benefits they have received under his leadership.

Additionally, Awor, who also lost the mayoral elections last year, congratulated the people of Uganda on the re-election of President Museveni, expressing hope for continued progress and development under his leadership.

Recently, some NRM leaders in Lira City publicly accused certain local leaders, particularly clan leaders, of claiming to be the main drivers behind Museveni’s victory in Lango. Awor’s remarks serve as a reminder that the victory was a collective expression of the people's trust, not the achievement of a few individuals.
