Kole North Race! Judith Alyek Confident of Victory As she Hosts Delegation Of UPC & NRM , Urged Them To Vote Museveni
LIRA, UGANDA– Honourable Judith Alyek, who an independent candidate Kole North parliamentary seat, has said she is very confident she will win her seat again in the 2026 elections.
Her confidence grew after a meeting with local leaders from the Uganda People's Congress (UPC) party in Okwerodot. The UPC leaders promised to support her campaign.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Hon. Alyek explained her main goals for the area. "My first priority is to speed up development and improve the quality of education and wealth creation in Kole North," she said. "That is why I came back to compete for this position. I saw that our community was being left behind, and I am determined to change that."
She thanked the UPC leaders for their support. She said that when different political groups work together, it helps the community move forward.
She also urged the team to also mobilise and support President Museveni.
"I am ready to win the votes, and I am prepared to serve the people of Kole North with even more dedication in the next term," she stated.
Why UPC is Supporting Her.
Tonny Odyek, a UPC leader in Adelogo Parish In Okwerodot explained why his group is supporting Hon. Alyek. He said that even though she is running as an independent candidate (not with a specific party), they believe she is the best person for the job.
"As UPC leaders, we are joining forces with her team," Odyek said. "We will work hard to tell people in our community to vote for Honourable Judith Alyek."
Today, she also met section of NRM leaders in Kole to unveil her agenda and seek for their endorsement for Kole North MP race.
The meeting happened on Sunday. Hon. Alyek and her campaign team met with the UPC delegation, who officially endorsed her for the Kole North MP seat.
Both UPC and NRM party are supporting MP Alyek.
